Land mafia growing crops on pastureland

The look at local administration is not adopting a strict attitude, the orders of the collector are also being disregarded

Kabsthana| In gram panchayat Kabsthana, Agar, Majhola, Sandokra Sanbada, the land mafia is encroaching on the pasture land by growing crops. Despite the order of the Bara district collector to mark the pasture land and free it from encroachment, the local administration is not adopting a strict measures for encroachments on pasture land in many panchayats including Kabsthana, Agar, Majhola, Sandokra Sanbada. All that the panchayat has done is putting up a warning board at the same time crops are being produced by the land mafia in the pasture land. In Kabsthana 1800 bighas of land are there & even one bigha land is not freed all the land is being encroached. The grazing land allotted for the cattle to roam in the town is gradually being turned into fields. Thousands of bighas of pasture land in the town once had dense forest. They were cut down and were converted into pasturelands now people are claiming their rights and are irrigating the lands and growing crops worth lakhs of rupees in the same fields and pucca houses have also been constructed. Action is not being taken against the land mafia instead they are being protected. These days the encroachment of the mafia is increasing continuously near the National Highway 27 Munda pool of Kabsthana. People of the area have asked for taking right & strict actions against the encroachment on the government land.

Government land adjacent to the highway is being illegally occupied

The encroachment on the government land of Kabsthana has been  spread on a large scale. This encroachment is increasing instead of decreasing from here. Due to this illegal encroachment has been spread on the government land adjacent to it including the highway here. The reason for this is administrative officer sitting here. Despite repeatedly giving complaint in writing and orally concrete steps are not being taken by the administration in this regard. In such a situation due to the sluggish negligence of the administration encroachment here is increasing.

Animals falling prey to premature death due to encroachment

Due to the encroachment on the pasture land adjacent to the highway of Kabsthana do animals are coming on the highway and becoming victims of premature death. In this situation, the biggest negligence of the administration is being seen. Accidents are happening to animals every day due to encroachment on pasture land.

Illegal construction and encroachment on pasture land is increasing day by day in Kabsthana. Even after completing no action is being taken by the administration.
