The high court has issued a
contempt notice to Tonk District Collector, Chinmayi Gopal, for not removing
the encroachment from the pasture land of Diggi village, a famous pilgrimage. The
court ordered seeking a reply within 2 weeks. A bench of Justice MM Srivastava &
Virendra Kumar gave the direction while hearing the Contempt petition of Ramnarayan
Meena. Advocate Laxmikant Sharma told that about 2100 bighas of pasture land of
Diggi have been encroached by the influential people. Due to this villagers are
finding difficulty in grazing their cattle. Last year on September 7th
the bench had ordered the Collector, Tonk to remove the encroachment in 3
