Contempt Notice to Collector for not removing encroachment from Diggi village’s pasture lands

The high court has issued a contempt notice to Tonk District Collector, Chinmayi Gopal, for not removing the encroachment from the pasture land of Diggi village, a famous pilgrimage. The court ordered seeking a reply within 2 weeks. A bench of Justice MM Srivastava & Virendra Kumar gave the direction while hearing the Contempt petition of Ramnarayan Meena. Advocate Laxmikant Sharma told that about 2100 bighas of pasture land of Diggi have been encroached by the influential people. Due to this villagers are finding difficulty in grazing their cattle. Last year on September 7th the bench had ordered the Collector, Tonk to remove the encroachment in 3 months but that did not happen.
